This Tuesday, SPM founder Amber Swenor presented at the inaugural Disrupt Milwaukee event, which was hosted at the Best Place at The Historic Pabst Brewery. The event featured 10 speakers, who each had 5 minutes to share their ideas on how we as a culture can move our talent thinking forward.
At the event, Amber had the audience clapping and cheering during her 5-minute talk “Build a Rockstar Team By Celebrating the Rockstars Within It.” And in true rockstar fashion, Amber made several references to popular musical hits during her presentation, in which she shared ways companies can build a rockstar team by celebrating the skills and talent that each individual member possesses. A couple takeaways that Amber outlined during her talk included listening to how employees feel they are being treated, building trusting relationships with your team members, and allowing flexibility, transparency, and a team culture that will exceed your employee’s expectations.
